Mr. William “Grumpy” Roberson age 88 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at the Union General Nursing Home on Wednesday December 5, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Roberson was born on September 14, 1930 to the late Efton Lee Roberson and the late Maurine Cowen Roberson. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. Grumpy enjoyed working on race cars, bowling, singing and making music. Mr. Roberson was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving Grumpy are his loving wife and companion of 58 years Violet Hartness Roberson of Blairsville, sons Steve and Michael Roberson of Blairsville, daughters and son in laws Linda and Tommy Weeks of Loganville GA, Pamela and Herbert Brown of Blairsville, sister and brother in law Abby and Earl Humphries of Knoxville TN, brother and sisters in law Lee and Sally Roberson of Blairsville, Jerry and Linda Roberson of Blairsville, Tony and Shirley Roberson of Blairsville, twelve grandchildren Tina Blackstock, Heather Weeks, Scotty Roberson, Stacy Roberson, Christy Clark, Josh Clark, Jennifer Fair, Kimberley Hughes, Elizabeth Roberson, Mark Roberson, Latasha Beavers and Aston Brown, many Great Grandchildren and many, many Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Hill and the Rev. Luther Thomas officiating. The following Gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ronnie Odom, Jaraad Garrett, Elizabeth Roberson, Austin Brown, Herbert Brown, and Scotty Roberson. Visitation for Mr. Roberson will be Friday at the funeral home from 6-9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks any donations be made to help defray expenses. Mr. William “Bill” Ray Fisher, age 71, of Shope Lane, Blairsville, passed away from a sudden illness at his residence Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Born in Alliance, Ohio to the late Robert and Floetta (Schultz) Fisher on February 11, 1947, Bill enjoyed golfing and fishing throughout his younger years. Bill moved to the Blairsville area from Bradenton, FL and enjoyed the fellowship and friendship he found at the Cabin Coffee Shop.
Bill is preceeded in death by a daughter, Mindi Fisher, in 2011, and survived by his sons, Michael (Dianne) Fisher of Wake Forrest, NC; Andrew (Ana) Fisher of Albany, NY; Chandler Fisher of Bradenton, FL; Chase (Jessica) Fisher of Bradenton, FL and a daughter, Tatum Fisher of Blairsville, GA. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Linda) Fisher of North Port, FL as well as four granddaughters and 4 grandsons.

Mr. William Meredith Crenshaw age 89 of Young Harris GA went home peacefully to be with his lord and savior on Sunday, October 28, 2018 after an extended illness at the Clay County Care Center Hayesville NC.
Known as “Bill” to many, “Meredith” to many of his family members and daddy, pop or papa to his kids and grandkids. He was born on December 5, 1928 to the late Jesse E Crenshaw and Lola Barlow Crenshaw, Hawkinsville GA. Bill was a Navy veteran entering service at the end of WWII, serving in Pensacola FL and on board the USS Wantuck, APD 125 and was a past member of the American Legion. After leaving military service he and his loving wife Jenny settled in Orlando Florida. He was a self-taught HVAC technician, but there was nothing he couldn’t build or repair. He retired from Orange County Florida Government in 1988 where he was a maintenance foreman at the Orange County Court House. He and his wife loved to camp and visited all 50 states. He was a hard worker and devoted to his wife of 70 years and to his 5 sons and 1 daughter.
He loved his church and church family, he taught Sunday school for many years at Ivy Log Baptist Church Blairsville, GA. He was never at a loss for words telling others about his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Before moving to Young Harris he and his family attended Orlando Baptist Church where he was a long time Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Virginia E. (Dowdy) Crenshaw, brothers Billy (Janice) Crenshaw, and Sam (Shelia) Crenshaw; son and daughter-in-law Ed and Pauline Crenshaw of Young Harris, GA son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sharon Crenshaw of Toccoa GA, son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Helga Crenshaw of Arabi, GA, son Mike Crenshaw of Young Harris, GA, son Keith Crenshaw of Orlando FL, and daughter and son –in-law Peggy and Mike Waddell of Prosper TX. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of great friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening October 30, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home, Blairsville GA.
Funeral Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville GA on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Tony Black and Reverend Jerry Karnes officiating, interment will follow at Ivy Log Baptist Cemetery, Hwy 129, Blairsville GA, with full military honor guard salute immediately following the funeral service. Music provided by Elaine Young & Biz Roesch. The following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Matt Crenshaw, Jesse Crenshaw, Michael Crenshaw, Peyton Fleming, Josiah Waddell, and Buddy Crenshaw. Memorial donations in the name of William M. (Bill) Crenshaw can be made to the building fund of Ivy Log Baptist Church, Blairsville GA.

Charles William “Bill” Haynes: Obituary
Obituaries December 17, 2018Charles William “Bill” Haynes (82). Passed away peacefully under hospice care surrounded by family on December 6th, 2018.
Bill was a loving husband to his soul-mate of 30 years and father and father-figure to so many. He had a Master’s Degree in Science Education from Florida State University and was a lifelong educator. He was also an Eagle Scout, private pilot, scuba diver, boater, sailor, fisherman, and under-water photographer, resulting in over 10,000 educational slides depicting the 3 dimensions of Florida, from the air, on the ground, and under water. He helped setup the Undersea Lab at Key Largo Marine Resources Development Foundation and the Marine Lab Education Program. He was past president and active for 30 years with FMSEA Florida Marine Science Education Assoc. and the founding and lifelong member of LEEF League of Environmental Educators in Florida. He was a beloved football coach and marine science teacher at Fort Lauderdale High School, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he eventually retired and so much more. After retirement, Bill moved with his wife full-time to the Florida Keys and later to Central Florida. Bill’s had a life-long love-affair with Florida. Survivors include his loving wife, Sande Haynes, daughter Laura, daughter Ginger and Son-and-Law Ken, Sons Chad, Jason, and Son-in-Law Byron, daughter Hena and Son-in-Law Dana, grandchildren Cody, Alyssa, Jennifer, and Chloe, great-grandchildren Lucas, Lilliana, Levi, and Delaney Jo, brother John Earl Haynes, and his dog Tippy II.
