James “Jim” Stewart Roberson 70, of Rizzatello Lane Blairsville, Ga passed away suddenly, Thursday September 17, 2015 at his home. Jim was born in Camp Lejune, NC on August 22, 1945 to the late James S. and Rose S. Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School and Chattanooga State in Chattanooga, TN. He loved gardening, cooking and canning as well as Tennessee sports. Jim will be remembered as being very happy and joyful and a very great, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, Grandfather & Great Grandfather. Mr. Roberson had lived in the area for over twenty years and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Roberson is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Carol Konze Roberson. His children, Teri and Daniel Schweitzer, Tony and Joanna Roberson, Denise Doogan, Maurene and T.J. Potts, Laura and Tom Derrico, Ann Marie and Richard Hunt, Dawn and Toby Lingerfelt, Sister, Gail Roberson Birch (Jeffery), Brothers, Doug Roberson (Terry) and Greg Roberson (Debra Goldblatt) and many nieces and nephews. Seventeen Grandchildren, two Great-Grandchildren, and his “babies” Lucky and Lady. Also his life long special friend, Carol Monroe.
Memorial services for Mr. Roberson will be held at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday September 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Deacon Paul Dietz officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2:00 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Jim’s memory.
