Mrs. Wynifred Jean Reitz Emerson passed away peacefully on Friday April 22, 2016 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Emerson was born on Dec. 10, 1925 in Detroit, MI. , the daughter of the late Raymond Reitz and the late Florence Deppen Reitz. Wynifred loved crossword puzzles and was a devoted caregiver of seventy years of pets. She was preceded in death by a son, John Gilbert Emerson.
Surviving Mrs. Emerson are her loving husband of seventy years, Gilbert Emerson of Blairsville one son and daughter in law, James W. and Carmen Emerson of Nashville, TN., daughter in law, Rachel Saphir of Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
No services are planned at this time. Interment will be held in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Shamokin, PA. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the family guest book and send condolences on line at www.mountainviewfuneralhome.com
