Mr. Patrick Richard Hogan: Obituary

Mr. Patrick Richard Hogan age 75 of Redbird Drive Blairsville passed away on Thursday April 28, 2016 in Hayesville following an extended illness.

Mr. Hogan was born on March 28, 1941 in County Clare Ireland, the son of the late Sean Hogan and the late Jenny Madden Hogan. Patrick was an avid tennis player. He loved hiking with his grandchildren and Irish music. He was the Kindest man that you would ever meet.

He was preceded in death by a son, Sean Hogan Jr. and a sister, Patsy Kerridge. Patrick was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Surviving Mr. Hogan are his loving wife and best friend of fifty one years, Barbara Ann Bell Hogan of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Patricia and Brian McElhone of St. Augustine, FL., two sons and one daughter in law, Matthew Hogan of Cary, NC., Patrick and Jamie Hogan Jr. of Deltona, FL., six sisters and four brothers in law, Mary Horriban, Anne and John Gratwick, Theresa and Peter Wilson all of England, Vera and Brian Boustouler of Jersey, Claire Hogan of Winter Park, FL., Kathy Pohyeko and Charles Carter of England, two grandchildren, Conor and Karah, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Mr. Hogan’s memory.
