Mrs. Grace Ann Bartal: Obituary

Mrs. Grace Ann Bartal age 74 of Chatuge Shores Overlook Hayesville passed away peacefully on Friday May 6, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Bartal was born on Oct. 6, 1941 in Youngstown, OH., the daughter of the late Thomas Glenn and the late Grace Ann Haggerty Bartal. Grace had been employed as an Intelligence Officer with the CIA for over ten years. She loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. Grace loved Agatha Kristie novels. She was a loving and caring wife and sister. Grace was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Surviving Grace are her loving husband and best friend of forty four years, Dr. Joseph Robert Bartal of Hayesville, three sisters and one brother in law, Lorene Glenn of Blairsville, Eileen Gelbke of W. VA., Nadine and Dan McClure of W. VA., one brother and sister in law, Michael and Tina Glenn of Blairsville, nieces and nephews, Jessica, Clinton and Zackary, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date from the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or to Good Shepherd Hospice in Grace’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
