Mr. Allan Lantz Pruitt: Obituary

Mr. Allan Lantz Pruitt age 72 of White Oak Flats Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Thursday June 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.

Allan was born on Nov. 3, 1943 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Walter Lantz Pruitt and the late Mary Elizabeth Hess Pruitt. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Allan was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Mr. Pruitt attended Old Union Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Pruitt are his loving wife and best friend of thirty nine years, Geneva “Ginny” Fortenberry Pruitt of Blairsville, two daughters and one son in law, Mechelle Neunsinger of Folly Beach, SC., Lee Ann and Randall White of Lake City, FL., two sisters, Katherine Anthony of Greensburg, PA., Patty Dixon of Chester, PA., six grandchildren, Lee, Jonathan, Bethany, Zachary, Caitlin and Bonnie George, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with Tony Owens officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm from the Georgia National Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
