Mr. Jackie Herman Keller age 81 of Nottley Dam Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Duluth, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Keller was born on July 29, 1934 in Pell City, AL., the son of the late A.G. Keller and the late Ellen Simpkins Keller. He was a veteran of the US Marines and the National Guard. Before his retirement he worked for Overnight Transportation for over thirty one years, than he became a CDL Instructor at America’s Driving Force in Atlanta. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarena Stewart Keller in 2014. Mr. Keller was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Keller are four sons and two daughters in law, Edwin Jason and Helen Keller of Pensacola, Fl., Steven D. and Renee Keller of McDonough, GA., Jackie D. Keller and Bobby Keller of Birmingham, AL., one daughter and son in law, Debbie and Roger Foster of Andrews, SC., the late Lynn Lyles of Forest Park, GA., two sisters, Floretta Tomlin of Huey Town, AL., Carolyn “Jenny” Cupp of Coleria, AL., six grandchildren, Beth, Sean, Ryan, Sara, Madalyn, and Savannah; one great grandson, Aaron, and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 5:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Beavers officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Sean Payne, Ryan Lyles and fellow instructors of America’s Driving Force. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery where he will rest next to his beloved wife Clarena. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4-5:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
