Mr. Robert Morris Patton: Obituary

Mr. Robert Morris Patton, age 83, of Grassy Knoll Road, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 19, 2016. Mr. Patton was born on Sept. 18, 1932 in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Wesley Almond Patton and the late Alma Edna Shore Patton. Bob was a veteran of the US Army. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Helyne Lucy Patton, in 2007; a sister Janet Netzen, and a brother Horace Patton. Mr. Patton was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Patton are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cathy and Ken Flood of Blairsville, Becky and Bob Ivey, Susan McMillan, Ft. Pierce, FL; a sister in law, Mary Lois Patton of Marietta; five grandchildren, Brandy McMillan Gartrell and husband David, Rob Ivey, Brad Ivey, Stephanie Flood Osborn and husband Jeffrey, and Kelly Flood Teague and husband Joe; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Allison, Emalyn and John Henry Osborn and Jackson Teague.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Tanner officiating. Interment will follow where he will rest next to his beloved wife, Helyne. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of arrangements.
