Mr. Gary Wayne Loftis: Obituary

Mr. Gary Wayne Loftis age 56 Blairsville passed away on Friday August 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Gary was born on March 30, 1960 in Cookeville, TN., the son of Peggy Ann Thompson Loftis and the late Denver Joe Loftis. Gary loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and singing at his church. He loved his church and loved his Lord. Gary was a loving son, father, brother and grandfather. Gary was a member of the Blairsville Church of Christ.

Surviving Mr. Loftis are his mother, Peggy Loftis of Blairsville, two daughters and one son in law, Karla and Curtis Kidd of CA., Kasey Loftis of Blairsville, one sister, Kathy Gordon of Ashville, NC., two brothers and one sister in law, Roger and Heather Loftis of Blairsville, Jimmy Loftis of Blairsville, six grandchildren, Lydia, Abby, Brody and Olivia Kidd, Helena Loftis and Slade Bradshaw, several aunts, uncles, cousins, many other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 7:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Gary’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
