Mrs. Peggy Sue Waters: Obituary

Mrs. Peggy Sue Waters age 57 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 following an extended illness. Peggy was born on August 3, 1959 in Greenville, SC., the daughter of the late Belton Roddy and the late Onoree Gibson Roddy. Peggy was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved her flower garden and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and also a son, Daniel Lynn Roddy, three brothers, Daniel, David and Arthur Roddy and a sister, Judy Franklin. Peggy was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Peggy are her loving husband and best friend of twenty eight years, Eddie Waters of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Michelle and Trent Crain of LA., sons, Brian Howard of GA., Christopher Howard of LA., three sisters, Josie McKinney and her Friend, Monroe Hogsed of NC., Frances Gibson and her friend, Derek Burch of GA., Carolyn and Alvin Franklin of SC., three brothers and two sisters in law, Larry and Lisa Roddy, Lavone and Ann Roddy, Ricky Roddy all of SC., mother in law, Margie Sparks, brothers in law and sisters in law, Tommy and Mindy Harkins, Randy and Stacy Harkins, Danny Harkins, sisters in law and brother in law, Karen Carver, Joyce Totherow, Phillis and Chris Ballew all of Blairsville, six grandchildren, Airman First Class Wesley Howard, , Daniel Cartier, Cullen Crain, Katlyn Cartier, Laken Cartier, Jorden Howard, lots and lots of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Clay Gibson, Jess Gibson, Douglas Franklin, Aaron Jones,Wesley Howard and Derick Burch. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Roddy, Jonathan Roddy, Brian Kelly, Justin Roddy, Jason Totherow,Scott Brown, and Chris Ballew. Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
