Mr. John Duane Glenn: Obituary

Mr. John Duane Glenn age 96 of Blairsville passed away on Friday September 30, 2016 in the N.E. GA. Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Glenn was born on July 18, 1925 in Topeka, KS., the son of the late Tilferd Glenn and the late Genevieve Moylan Glenn. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps. John was a graduate of the Kansas State University receiving his Bachelors Degree. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Glenn in 2011, a daughter, Julie Glenn and also two brothers, Robert and Patrick and one sister, Mary. Mr. Glenn was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Mr. Glenn are one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Chris Carney of Cushing, MN., one son, Michael Glenn of Denver, CO., daughter in law, Cindy Lynd of Young Harris, two grandsons, Joshua Irick and Benjamin Geiger, one great grandson, Joshua Irick Jr, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Glenn.
