Mrs. Wanda Moore Green: Obituary

Mrs. Wanda Moore Green age 65 of Morganton passed away peacefully at her home on Friday November 25, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Green was born on August 19, 1951 in Murphy, NC., the daughter of the late Arvil Moore and the late Helen Peek Moore Greene. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. Wanda was very passionate about her church and her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved camping and fishing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dean Green in 2011 and a brother, Dennis Moore. Mrs. Green was a member of the Household of Faith Church.

Surviving Mrs. Green are one son, Dewayne Green of Morganton, one daughter and son in law, Denise and Scott Long of Morganton, two brothers and one sister in law, Vernon Moore of Murphy, James and Tammy Greene of Toccoa, one sister, Shirley Wilbanks of Toccoa, four grandchildren, Daryl Green, Justin and Grace Long, Nathan Long and Cody Long, one great grandson, Andrew Long, several nieces and nephews, a host of her church family, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Household of Faith Church with the Rev. Richard Mashburn officiating. Special music will be presented by Glenn Mashburn and the Household of Faith Church Choir. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Justin, Cody and Nathan Long, Daryl and David Green and John Crain. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Preston and George Mashburn and Matthew Conner. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband, Larry. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-9:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
