Mr. James Jones: Obituary

Mr. James G. Jones age 75 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Sunday December 4, 2016 in Pruitt Health of Blue Ridge following an extended illness. Mr. Jones was born on Oct. 17, 1941 in Kannapolis, NC., the son of Martha Faye Heath Jones and the late Albert Jones. James loved to hike, travel and was a Civil War buff. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. James was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving Mr. Jones are his loving wife Carol M. Demme of Blairsville, his mother, Faye Akins of New Port Richie, FL., two sons and daughters in law, Jim and Melissa Jones Jr., Jeffery and Roberta Jones, one daughter, Julie Jones, all of Florida., two sisters, Ann Robertson and Toni Black both of FL., two grandchildren, Ashley and Bryan Pember and James Jones III, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the S.A.F.E. House in memory of Mr. Jones.
