Mr. Daniel Clark: Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Daniel Clark, better known as “Dan”, Crawford, age 84, of Blairsville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at his home.

Dan was born in Blairsville on January 4, 1932, a son of the late George and the late Mary Bell Walker Crawford. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served most of his time in Cuba. He as a member of Coosa United Methodist Church in Blairsville. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and four sisters; and a beloved nephew, James Jones.

Dan loved his mountain home and his family. Dan was a Mason, and a Shriner, and was active in the Jesters until his health prohibited his participation. Dan and his wife Willma had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Surviving family members include his loving wife Willma; and a son, William Clark Crawford; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
