Mr. Jonathan Eno Ramsden, age 80, of Blairsville formerly of Douglasville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday Feb. 16, 2017 following an extended illness. Mr. Ramsden was born on Sept. 19, 1936 in Hartford, CT., the son of the late Robert H. Ramsden and the late Dorthea Cox Ramsden. He was a veteran of the US Army. Jonathan’s hobbies included model airplanes and golf. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a daughter, Christina Ramsden and a granddaughter, Shannon Rawlinson. Mr. Ramsden was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving Mr. Ramsden are one daughter and son in law, Elizabeth and and Marvin Armstrong of Blairsville, two sons, Jonathan Ramsden Jr. of Athens, GA., Stephen W. Ramsden of Buckhead, GA., grandchildren, Erin M. Jordan, Andrew Armstrong, Devin McMahon, A. Michelle Ramsden, Johnathan W. Jordan, grandson in law, F. Stanley Jordan, great grandchildren, Caedyn Williamson, Colin McMahon, many other relatives and friends also survive.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mr. Ramsden’s memory.
