Mr. Joseph Richard Adams Sr. : Obituary

Mr. Joseph Richard Adams Sr. age 75 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home of Sunday February 19, 2017 following an extended illness. Mr. Adams was born on July 24, 1941 in Tampa, FL., the son of the late Charles Wesley Adams and the late Ida Clitus Morris Adams. Joseph was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and also the St. Andrews Pipes and Drums. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Adams was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mr. Adams are his loving wife of fifty two years, Jenny Crosby Adams of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter in law, Joseph R. Adams Jr. of Titusville, FL., John M. and Angela Adams of Valrico, FL., one daughter and son in law, Jennifer M. and Chris Hood of Phoenix, AZ., six grandchildren, Branden, Emily, Nathan and Sarah Adams, Matthew and Cindy Hood, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Travis Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Sons of Confederate Veterans or to St. Andrews Pipes and Drums in Mr. Adams memory. The family will meet with friends following the services. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
