Mr. Dominick Marescalco: Obituary

Mr. Dominick Marescalco age 90 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Marescalco was born on December 30, 1926 in Washington, DC., the son of the late Salvatore and Maria DePasquale Marescalco. Dominick was a brick mason by trade. He loved football, and Alabama was his # one team. He always worked hard and layed brick until he was 87 years old. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Walker and his first wife, Sarah Black Walker Marescalco. Dominick was a member of the Rock Church in Blairsville.

Surviving Mr. Marescalco are his loving wife, Keri Marescalco of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter in law, Dominick R. and Jennifer Marescalco of Murphy, Nicholas White, one daughter and son in law, Melinda and Darrin Eddy of Clark Field, MN., three step children, Vanessa Gibson of Soux Falls, SD., James Moss of Blairsville, Dominick Moss of Ft. Collins, CO., one sister, Rose Ann Rizzo of Murphy, niece and nephew, Timothy and Renee Rizzo of Murphy, several other nieces and nephews out of state, eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Siefert, Anthony, Alyssa, Arianna and Alexander Marescalco, Michelle Ehrenberg, Christopher Kaupang, LaBobby, Kristian and Wyatt Gibson and Leora Walker, several great –great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Interment and graveside services will be held in the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday March 30, 2017 at 12:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Rock Church in Blairsville with Rev. Barry Dotson officiating. The family will meet with friends following the services at the church. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Dominick’s memory.
