Mr. Timothy Milton Swartz: Obituary

Mr. Timothy Milton Swartz age 54 of Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Friday April 28, 2017 following a brief illness. Mr. Swartz was born on March 6, 1963 in El Paso, TX., the son of Thomas Edward Swartz and Jean Blythe Swartz. Tim was a lifelong resident of Union County and was a graduate of Union County School Class of 1982. He was a graduate of North GA College where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. He played football for several years with the Panthers. He was passionate about Golf and collecting guns. He was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle and was a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otho and Corene Blythe, Ed and Susie Swartz. Tim attended the House of Prayer Church.

Surviving Tim are his parents, Tom and Jean Swartz of Blairsville, one sister, Cheri Parker Swartz, two brothers and sisters in law, Travis and Gena Swartz, Toby and Paige Swartz all of Blairsville, nieces and nephews, Brittany Anderson, Brooklyn Harris, Tyler Swartz, Dakota Parker, Daylee Parker, Zeke Swartz and Sofia Swartz, great niece and nephews, Addy Harris, Corbin and Boone Anderson, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services are tentatively set for on Thursday May 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Helton and Rev. Rodney LaVallie officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Daryl LeCroy, Mike Hemphill, Danny Hemphill, Dakota Parker, Tyler Swartz and Tilden Repp. Interment will follow at the New Blairsville City Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, donations may be made to Indian Mission Work in Tim’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 pm.
