Mr. Harold Williams: Obituary

Mr. Harold Williams age 75 of  Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday September 23, 2017 following an extended illness.

Mr. Williams was born on Feb. 15, 1942 in Maryville, TN., the son of the late Julian Garthel Williams and the late Stella Cardin Williams. He was a veteran of the US Army. Harold was an avid Steel Guitar player and loved playing gospel music. He and his wife Eva owned and operated Bunker Hill Grocery for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a sister, Ruth Williams White and two brothers, Julian and Benton Williams. Harold attended the Blairsville Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving Mr. Williams are his loving wife and best friend of fifty five years, Eva Mason Williams of Blairsville, brothers in laws and sisters in laws are, Dorothy Pickelsimer, Bonnie Davenport, W.L. Mason, Nancy Stevens, Julian Mason, Kathryn Fox and Elaine Young all of Blairsville, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Sept. 26, 2017 at 12:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Mark Handy and Rev. Donnie Williams officiating. Special music will be presented by Elaine Young. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Doug Mason, Bruce, Randy, Dustin and Cody Meeker, Larry Nichols, Troy Ledford Darrell Allen and Gerald Mason. Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Blairsville Church of the Nazarene in Harold’s memory.
