Barbara Roche: Obituary

Barbara Roche age 79 of Young Harris, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday April 14, 2018 in her own apartment home following an extended illness. Barbara was born in Miami, FL July 20, 1938, the daughter of John Roy Roche and Alice Andersen Roche.  She is survived by her niece Tina Jelly.  Barbara loved the Lord Jesus and dedicated her life to teaching young children in private Christian schools and personal tutoring for many years.  She enjoyed the mountains and the love of many friends.  Her loving caring spirit has marked the lives of all who crossed her path.

Barbara believed, lived and exemplified her favorite Bible verses: “Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.  Having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”  Colossians 2: 6, 7

Mountain View Funeral Home has been engaged for services, but Barbara did not wish to have a formal funeral.  Details on a celebratory memorial service will be forthcoming.  Consistent with her wishes, any gifts or condolences should be made in memory of Barbara to your local ministry, honoring her commitment to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Barbara will be dearly & deeply missed until we see her again in Heaven.
