Gerald “Wayne” Newton: Obituary

Mr. Gerald “Wayne” Newton of Jewell Mason Road Blairsville passed away on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. Wayne was born on April 23, 1937 to the late David and Opel Benton Newton. Wayne loved woodworking, singing, fishing and being with family and friends. Wayne was of the Baptist faith.                                                                                                                                                                         Surviving Mr. Newton are his loving wife Cathy Newton of the home, two daughters Vanessa Molina of Athens Ga., Angela  Keecer  of Daytona Beach Fl. three brothers, Franklin & Jeanne Newton, John Steven & Jeanie Newton and Bud Newton, two sisters Alice Newton and Kathy & Ronnie Strange, Two Grandchildren and three Great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Haney officiating. Interment will follow in the Newton Family Cemetery in Moultrie Ga. at a later date.
