Mrs. Peggy Jean Cannady age 82 of Oak Lane Blairsville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on Monday July 15, 2019 following an extended illness. Mrs. Cannady was born on Dec. 4, 1936 in Dawson Springs, KY., the daughter of the late Richard Graham and the late Arlie Lee Graham. Peggy loved sewing, cooking, collecting recipes and cookbooks, and she also loved the family cat Boo Boo, dearly. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Cannady was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs. Cannady is her loving husband of 49 years, William Cannady of Blairsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Jennifer Cannady of Peachtree City, GA., a daughter and son-in-law, Susan & Mark Applewhite of Suwanee, GA., three cousins, Patty LittleJohn of Hopkinsville, KY., Mike Clayton of Houston, TX., and Terry Clayton of Wilmington, NC., and five grandchildren, Brady, Owen, Danny, Madeline, and Sara.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 18, 2019 at 1:00pm at Laurel Hills Cemetery with Rev. Greg Bailey officiating. Flowers are accepted but if you wish the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
