Greg Allen Jacobsen: Obituary

Mr. Greg Allen Jacobsen age 71 of Autumn Lane Blairsville passed away peacefully on Saturday November 30, 2019 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Jacobsen was born on March 5, 1948 in Hartley, Iowa and the son of the late Andrew Jacobsen and the late Ruth Myer Jacobson. Greg was a veteran of the US Air Force of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and most of all, spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Greg attended the All Saints Lutheran Church.

Surviving Mr. Jacobsen are his loving wife and best friend of twenty five years, Noreen Hart Jacobsen of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter in law, Eric and Dawn Jacobsen, Kurt Jacobsen all of Sarasota, FL., two stepsons, Todd Oakes and fiancee’, Chasity of Young Harris, Patrick and Lisa Oakes of Hiawassee, eleven grandchildren, Angel and Gage Jacobsen, Kaela and Kieley Schmidt, Sierra, Alexis, Garrett and Kyle Oakes, Angel, Alisa and Michael Moss, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Greg’s memory.
