BLAIRSVILLE, Ga – Residents of Union can now sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, January 22 as part of a mass vaccination event.
Those interested in being vaccinated should visit the Union County Government website and follow the link to make an appointment.
Vaccines are only being made available to those in the Phase 1A+ category or healthcare workers, long-term care facilities, adults age 65+ and their caregivers, and public safety.
The clinic will take place at the Union County Sports Center at 519 Industrial Boulevard.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free, and the process should take around 10 minutes. The sign-up portal opened at noon today, January 18 with appointment times available throughout the day.
For those not eligible to receive the vaccine or those who missed the opportunity, the county is working on further mass vaccination events, but it depends on the number of vaccines given to Union County.
Ingles in Blairsville is now providing COVID-19 vaccines by appointment to those in Phase 1A+. Those interested must sign-up online first.
