Mrs. Freda Velma Stover: Obituary

Mrs. Freda Velma Stover age 90 of  Blairsville formerly of Auburndale, FL., passed away peacefully on Wednesday Feb. 1, 2017 at Lazy R following an extended illness. Mrs. Stover was born on Sept. 25, 1926 in Oscoda, MI., the daughter of the late Oscar Muncey and the late Martha Irene Newhouse Muncey. Freda loved her Lord and witnessed to everyone she met. She loved her family and never met a stranger and never failed to ask all that she met “ Do you know Jesus?”. Freda enjoyed dancing and music. She was a loving and loyal wife of seventy years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William(Bill) Earnest Stover, a son William (Billy) Earnest Stover III and a Great Great Grandson, Gabriel. Mrs. Stover was a member of the Outreach Church.

Surviving Mrs. Stover are two daughters and son in laws, Sharon and Scott McMillan of Blairsville, Leta Joy and Gary Blue of Auburndale, FL., daughter in law, Deborah Stover of Ravenna, MI., one brother, Calvin Muncey of MI., four sisters, Dorine Stephens, Burnadine Sims and Clara Mae Comb all of MI., Sally Delarosa of AR., twelve grandchildren, Jon and Christina Sinkler, Jason and Carma Sinkler, Holly Moore, Jaime and Charles Heath, Kelly Moore, Lavada and George Bass, Amanda Blue, Sherry Russell, Jesse Stover, Josh Piper, Candy Russell and Kevin Stover, sixteen great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, Special Friends Brenda Thomas, Melissa Dalton, Scott Lee and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday Feb. 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Kent Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI., where she will rest next to her beloved husband, William “Bill”. The family will meet with friends at the Mountain View Funeral Home of Monday from 11-1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Lung Association in Mrs. Stover’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the family guest book and send condolences on line at www.mountainviewfuneralhome.com
