Fireworks are prohibited on Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., and Airmen should check with city and county officials before lighting any type of fireworks. Base officials urge residents to ensure they review all safety guidelines and make certain they are in any area where fireworks are authorized before lighting any devices. BLAIRSVILLE, Ga – Many Independence Day festivities are returning to Union County in 2021 after COVID-19 resulted in a cancellation last year.
Those interested can start enjoying the long weekend on Friday with a courthouse concert. Don Byers will be performing, beginning at 7 p.m. Lucky’s Tacqueria just down from the square will also have live music from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on its back porch area.
The annual Lake Nottely Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, July 3. Boats can start lining up around 10:30 a.m. and the parade begins at 12. Parking in the marina is limited so carpooling is encouraged. David McMahon will be performing live too.
