Mr. William “Bill” Joseph Gray, age 82, Country Farm Lane, Blairsville, GA, passed away August 31, 2015, following an extended illness. He was born May 16, 1933, in Queens, NY, to the late William Joseph Gray Sr. and the former Elizabeth Siggins. First and foremost, Bill was a devout Christian who loved his Lord; he was an active member of House of Prayer Church, its Men’s Study Group, & Joshua’s Warriors. He also served as a partner at the law firm of Walton, Lantaff, Schroeder, & Carson, owned and operated God’s Country Farm, helped form the Daily Bread Food Bank in Miami, FL, and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Survivors include former wife and friend Arlene Gray of Blairsville, two sons and daughters-in-laws: Col. William & Hyunah Gray of Tokyo, Japan, Scott & Sarah Gray of Eagan, MN; one daughter and son-in-law: Christy & Keith Owen of Blairsville, GA; one sister: Jane Gray of Winter Haven, FL; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Robert & Miko Gray of Winter Haven, FL, and Paul Gray of Winter Haven, FL; ten grandchildren: Stephanie Chastain, Brandon Owen, Caleb Owen, Anneliese Owen, Fiona Gray, Jaziah Owen, Billy Joe Gray, Harley Gray, Eunhye Gray, and Elioenai Owen; and two great grandchildren: William “Grady” Chastain and Annabelle Chastain. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the House of Prayer Interdenominational Church with Rev. Jerry Helton and Rev. Bill Honaker officiating. Interment will follow in the House of Prayer Church Cemetery. Complete service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
