Focus on Jesus Festival: a good time for all

Festivals

The Focus on Jesus Festival took place last Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Union County Farmer’s Market in Blairsville, GA. FOCUS, in this instance, is an acronym for Festival of Christians United to Serve. This was the second year this festival was held in Blairsville.IMG_0658R (2)

No one actually counted the attendees, but it is estimated that approximately 2,000 people came through. There were a lot of crafts and the food was delicious. Dr. Larry from WUCG 93.1 FM Radio setup a stage area where there was live music. A few Union County services were represented there as well, like the Union County Drug Court and Helping Hands. Bea Nishimuta and her husband John coordinated the event. According to Bea and John, there were 60 booths occupied, including 26 ministries, 10 churches and 11 vendors.

It was a beautiful day for a festival, too. The sun was out and the temperature hovered around the high seventies. Everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves. The FOCUS Team is looking forward to an even better event next year.IMG_0657R
