Arthur R. Millican: Obituary

Mr. Arthur R. Millican age 89 of Hwy 515 East Blairsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday July3, 2019 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Millican was born on August 13, 1929 in Lexington, MA., the son of the late John Millican and the late Viola Johnson Millican. Arthur was a Master Grower in his family business, Lexington Gardens in Lexington, MA. He and his wife moved to Blairsville to work with his eldest sons business, Sleepy Hollow Fairy Gardens. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy McConn in 2004. Mr. Millican was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving Mr. Millican are his loving wife and best friend of sixty six years, Patricia Miller Millican of Blairsville, three sons and two daughters in law, Arthur and Wendi Millican Jr. of Blairsville, Robin and Melanie Millican of Largo, FL., Bradley Millican of Blairsville, one brother, John Hall Millican of Acton, MA., two grandsons, Robin Millican Jr. and Charles Millican, four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society Mountain Shelter in Mr. Millican’s memory.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
