Army Rangers operating out of the Blairsville Municipal Airport this week

UNION COUNTY, Ga. – The Blairsville Municipal Airport announced that this week the 75th Army Ranger Unit will be utilizing the airport.
“From Monday, June 10th through Friday June 14th, the 75th Army Ranger unit will be operating out of the Blairsville airport. They will be dropping troops at various drop zones around North Georgia. On Monday, they will be making 4 jumps onto the Blairsville airport from 0900 through 1600. They will be using a Casa 212 and free falling from 10,000 feet. On Friday, they will make a jump onto the airport using a CH-47 Chinook helicopter. Stop by and enjoy watching our Army Rangers in action!”
