Mrs. Sandra Lee Young age 68 of 200 Young Mtn. Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Monday April 25, 2016 at her home with her loving husband by her side following an extended illness.

Sandra was born on Oct. 21, 1947 the daughter of the late Joseph Herman and the late Frankie Clayton Herman. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. Before her retirement she was employed with the US Postal Service in Blairsville for over twenty three years. She loved fishing, camping. dining out and motorcycle riding. She was a loving and caring wife, sister and aunt and was a friend to many. Sandra was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Young are her loving husband and best friend of thirty eight years, Donald Young of Blairsville, two brothers and sisters in law, Robert and Karen Herman, Wayne and Joy Herman, two nephews, Justin Herman and Bradley Herman, two nieces, Brooke Buell and Heidi Herman all of Morristown, TN., many other relatives and friends also survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice in Sandra’s memory.
