Mrs. Karen Faye Burnett age 61 of Wolf Pen Gap Rd. Suches passed away peacefully on Saturday May 21, 2016 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Burnett was born on Oct. 6, 1954 in Cleveland, GA., the daughter of the late Tom Berry Burnett and the late Anna Mae Dyer Burnett. She was a lifelong resident of Suches. Karen was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Karen was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Suches.

Surviving Karen are one daughter and son in law, Kellie and John Rayburn of Purvis, MS., one son and daughter in law, Kevin and Melisaa McCoy of Lula, GA., three sisters, Barbara Adams of Suches, Janice Holloway of Blairsville, Melissa Parks of Dawsonville, four grandchildren, Trinity and Kaleb McCoy, Conner and Dustin Rayburn, honorary grandchildren, David Ross and Casey Rayburn, Casey Allison, Dustin and Tiffany Loggins, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Zion Baptist Church in Suches with the Rev. Gerald Edmondson officiating. Special music will be presented by Heath Burnett. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Zion Baptist Church in Karen’s memory.
