Mr. Jerry Lawrence Anderson age 55 of Young Harris passed away peacefully on Monday July 11, 2016 in the North East GA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Anderson was born on Dec. 9, 1960 in St. Pete, FL., the son of the late Nelson Anderson and the late Ruth Ross Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of Towns and Union Counties and was a 1979 graduate of Union County High School. Jerry loved music and cooking for his family and friends. He was a loving father, brother and uncle. Jerry was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Jerry are one son, Dakota Anderson of Young Harris, one daughter, Raven Anderson of Young Harris, his best friend, Cindy Denmark of Young Harris, two brothers and sisters in law, Ronnie and Sharon Anderson of Blairsville, David and Lori Anderson of Parish, FL., nieces and nephews, Brandon and Jenna Anderson, Briana and Taylor Smith, great nieces, Jaiden and Braylee Anderson, Kylee Smith, several aunts, uncles, a host of friends, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Jerry’s memory.
