Reverend Earnest Flowers, age 67, of Villa Rica, GA, and also of Blairsville passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Blairsville. He was born on August 22, 1948, in Marietta, GA, to the late Paul & Pearl Flowers, and was preceded in death by his sister, Cora Mae Munsey. Rev. Flowers retired as a subcontractor from Flower’s Framing, and was a member of Tabernacle of Faith in Douglasville, GA. He always put God first and enjoyed his life and family, was a servant of the Lord and never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Gail Flowers; son Jeffrey Flowers of Garland, TX; daughters, Kimberly Grace & James Anderson of Hiawassee, GA, and Traci & Tony Blackstock of Villa Rica, GA; brothers, Paul & Barbara Flowers of Lithia Springs, GA, and Stanley Flowers of Villa Rica, GA; sisters, Garldine & Roy Byars of Dallas, GA, Mary Jane & N.D. Jones of Douglasville, GA, Pauline Prince of Lakeland, FL, Patricia & Franklin Churchill of Powder Springs, GA, and Wanda Kay & Stanley Cowart of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Seth Michael & Tiffany Robertson, Kayla & Eric Anderson, Krista Anderson, Kody Anderson, Trey & Aeriel Blackstock, Megan Blackstock, and Austin Blackstock; great-grandchild, Lexie Grace Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 5 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerris Flowers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 28, 2016, from 2 PM until 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family of Mr. Flowers to assist with funeral expenses. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the local arrangements.
