Mrs. Cathy T’Lene Johnson age 64 of Tate Mill Ridge Blairsville passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday July 26, 2016. Mrs. Johnson was born on Feb. 19, 1952 in Nashville, TN., the daughter of the late Harold Thomas Cleland and the late Gwendolyn Haygood Cleland. Cathy graduated Lithonia High School and also graduated Dekalb College of Nursing. She practiced nursing until 1995 with over thirty five years of service in the nursing field. Cathy was a very avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved the mountains. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Cathy attended Coosa United Methodist Church.

Surviving Cathy are her loving husband and best friend of forty three years, Alvis “Al” Johnson of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Christy and Jeff Abbott of Dahlonega, one sister and brother in law, Sherry and Rick Groover of Braselton, GA., one brother and sister in law, Keith and Cathy Cleland of Lawrenceville, two grandchildren, Austin and Alex Abbott, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Earl Bishop officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to NAMI PO Box 62596 Baltimore MD 21264 in Cathy’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-1:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
