Jonathan Paul Donnelly SR., 63, of Blairsville, passed away on Tuesday August 2, 2016 at his home following a brief illness. John was born on April 30, 1953 in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul Donnelly and Dorothy Starr Donnelly. He had lived in Union County for the past eleven years after moving from Coral Springs, Florida. Mr. Donnelly adored his grandson Brandon and was always being helpful to his neighbors and the people around him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Starr Donnelly and one brother David Donnelly. He was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mr. Donnelly are two sons, Jonathan Paul Donnelly Jr. and Clint Brandon Davenport, both of Ocean City, New Jersey, One grandson, Brandon Nicholas Davenport of Texas, His best friend Sally Donnelly of Ocean City, New Jersey, Three sisters, Louise Malady and Maureen Donnelly, both of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and Dianne Crowley of Ocean City, New Jersey. A host of other family & Friends also survive.

A celebration of life memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, John’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made on line to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in John’s honor.
