Ms. Sandra Faye Dover, age 73, of Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Clay County Care Center following an extended illness. Ms. Dover was born on October 17, 1943 in Columbus GA, the daughter of the late Warden Winston Dover and Wilma Storey Dover. Ms. Dover was a veteran and served her country as a member of the United States Navy. Ms. Dover went on to serve her community as a Registered Nurse at the Miami Heart Institute until her retirement. Ms. Dover resided in Union County for the past 11 years and attended St. Francis Catholic Church. Ms. Dover was a loving and devoted sister, aunt, and friend.

Surviving Ms. Dover are aunts Mary Holloway of Talbotton, GA; and Montree McCarter of Hiawassee, GA. sister, Linda Anderson of Cumming, GA; brothers Larry Dover of Hiawassee, GA; Edward and Helen Dover of Hiawassee, GA; James and Debra McKenzie of Waycross, GA; and Eugene McKenzie of Tampa, FL. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Sandra. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to the Red Cloud Indian Reservation in South Dakota in memory of Sandra.
