Mr. Kenneth Eugene Upperman age 82 of Blairsville, GA. passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 18, 2017 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. Upperman was born on August 4, 1934 in Amlin, OH., the son of the late Kenneth Upperman and the late Lizzie McKenzie Upperman. He had been an Eagle Scout of which he was very proud of. He was a veteran of the US Navy and also had a Bachelor of Architecture. Kenneth loved making model airplane, scuba diving and fishing. He was a Master Scuba Diver and also a Commercial Fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by a grand daughter, Audra Murphy, a grandson, Austin Stanton and a brother, Bobby Upperman. Mr. Upperman was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mr. Upperman are his loving wife of sixty two years, Joan Ella Upperman, three daughters and one son in law, Laura Murphy of Delaware, OH., Leslie and Phillip Kloss of McCaysville, GA., Lynn Stanton of Blairsville, GA., two brothers, John and Ed Upperman of Hilliard, OH., five grandchildren, Morgin, Ken, Kimy, Rachel and Rebekah, eight great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Lung Association in Mr. Upperman’s memory.
