Mr. Donald Lewis Speroni age 82 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Thursday January 26, 2017 in the Lazy R Assisted Living following an extended illness. Mr. Speroni was born on May 5, 1934 in New York City, NY., the son of the late Silvie Speroni and the late Ida (Peggy) Gusulfino Speroni. Donald was an avid traveler and traveled throughout the world. He enjoyed cooking and aviation and obtained his pilots license at the age of sixteen. He owned and restored WWII Aircraft and was recognized as a key contributor of restorations at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. Donald volunteered his time giving children their first airplane flight. He was a generous father and brother. Mr. Speroni was of the Christian faith.

No services are planned at this time. Interment will be held in the Church of St. Andrew Cemetery in Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society Mtn. Shelter in Mr. Speroni’s memory.
