Mr. Arland Dale Hansen age 84 of Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday June 10, 2017 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Hansen was born on Feb. 23, 1933 in Lake Preston, SD., the son of the late Rudolph Christian Hansen and Esther Leila Nelson. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War. Arland was a self employed farmer in Minnesota, and worked as a cabinet maker in Arizona. He loved duck hunting, fishing (especially ice fishing), and deer hunting. He was a faithful, loving and caring husband, father and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Harold Hansen and two sisters, Dorothy Helmen and Barbara Anderson. Most importantly, Mr. Hansen was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Surviving Mr. Hansen are his loving wife, Rosemary Niblett Hansen of Blairsville, GA; one son and daughter in law, Jonathan and Kelly Hansen of Mesa, AZ., one daughter and son in law, Annette and Mark Creekmore of Dawsonville, GA., one sister and brother in law, Beverly and Julian Nelson of Hoffman, MN., three grandchildren, Ben, Jacquelynne, Courtney; and eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday June 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Meadow View Cemetery, located at 204 Philadelphia Church Road, Blairsville, GA. The Rev. Judith Hudson is officiating. The family invites friends to attend the service and visit afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Love Worth Finding Ministries P.O.
