BLAIRSVILLE, Ga – Dr. Fred H. Rayfield Jr., superintendent of Union County Schools, tendered his retirement request to the Union County Board of Education (UCBOE) on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017. The UCBOE accepted his request. Dr. Rayfield will officially retire as of June 30, 2018.
