Mrs. Mary Alice Dwyer age 84 of Sautee Nacoochee GA formerly of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14, 2019 in Sautee Nacoochee following an extended illness. Mrs. Dwyer was born on June 3, 1935 in Pittsburg, PA., the daughter of the late Adam Albert Charles Dolenbach and the late Inez Josephine Theresa Wright Dolenbach. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and also her husband, Robert William Dwyer who passed away  in 2015. Mary was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving Mrs. Dwyer are two daughters and one son in law, Sharon Dwyer of Blairsville, Pat and Gerald Cook of Sautee Nacoochee, two sons and daughters in law, Robert and Kim Dwyer Jr. of Clermont, Michael and Kim Dwyer of Blairsville, one sister, Patricia McCombs of Blairsville, six grandchildren, Kent Cook, Melissa Hester, Kari Carpenter, Kassie Hulsey, Wyndi Wyatt and Wesley Dwyer. twelve great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Paul Flynn officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jonathan Carpenter, Kent Cook, Wesley Dwyer, Chris Hulsey, Chris Hester and Byron McCombs. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Hulsey and Howard McCombs. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband Bob. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Hospice of NGMC in Mary’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-1:00 pm.
