Katherine “Kitty” Harrison, age 83, of John Abernathy Rd, Blairsville, GA received her healing on August 11th, 2015 and is now in the arms of her Creator. She was born on May 3rd, 1932 in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Kitty is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James Robert Harrison, also of Blairsville, two daughters, Vicki Harrison-Beal of Ellijay, GA, and Kim (Dean) McClain of Blairsville, GA. Three grandchildren, Meghan (Justin) Glaze, LaFayette, GA, Crea Beal, Clarksville, TN, and Jacob Harrison McClain, Murphy, NC, and three great grandchildren Ashtyn Self, Olivia Self, and Lorelai Glaze.

Kitty loved her family and enjoyed many family celebrations on birthdays and holidays. She was a good mother and loving wife. Her marriage to her husband was a loving union and truly was a match made in heaven. Kitty was especially close to all of her grandchildren and was involved in their lives in many ways. Her dreams came true when all three grandchildren graduated from college and are now employed as an Educator, Registered Nurse, and Biomedical Engineer.

A Celebration of Life service for Katherine will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Gregg Bailey officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Katherine’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home following the services.
