Mrs. Betty Jule Hanson age 90 of Gainesville formerly of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Friday October 21, 2016 in New Horizons Health Care in Gainesville following an extended illness. Mrs. Hanson was born on May 18, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI., the daughter of the late Ed Ruhnke and the late Florence Douglas Ruhnke. Betty was an Artist and had a great sense of humor. She loved painting landscapes. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Mrs. Hanson are her loving husband and best friend of fifty nine years, John Paul “Jack” Hanson of Gainesville, two sons, Brad Hanson of Gainesville, Dale Hanson of Florida, five grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Graham, Patrick and Paige Hanson, many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Challenged Child or to a favorite charity in Betty’s memory.
