Mr. Paul Kennedy age 62 of New Hope Rd. Morganton, GA passed away peacefully on Monday September 14, 2015 in Fannin Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Kennedy was born on May 7, 1953 in Pontiac, IL the son of the late Donald Kennedy and the late Gertrude Diemer. Mr. Kennedy lived in Morganton for two years and moved from Granite City, IL. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended church at the Shining Light Baptist Church. Mr. Kennedy retired after 35 years as a electrical engineer for Boeing. Surviving Mr. Kennedy is his loving wife Alice Kennedy; two sons and daughter in law: Donald and Jamie Kennedy of Blairsville, GA and Gerald Kennedy of Granite City, IL; one brother and sister in law Gary and Vicki Kennedy of Forest Lake, MN. five grandchildren: Shaelin, Brooke, Knox, Beckham and Cale; Also surviving Mr. Kennedy are his nieces and nephews Shannon, Mike, Jason, and Joe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel officiating Timothy Mason. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Kevin McBride, Ken McBride, Paul Robinson, Kevin Towl, Arnold Butts and Dennis Musselwhite. Family will meet with friend Friday September 18, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
