Mr. William Earley Seabolt age 85 of Wildwater Rd. Blairsville formerly of Coopers Creek Rd. passed away on Thursday October 22, 2015 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Seabolt was born on Nov. 19, 1929 in Union County, the son of the late Ben Seabolt and the late Evie Garrett Seabolt. He was a lifelong resident of Union and Fannin Counties. Earley loved working outdoors, gardening and growing flowers. He had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. Earley was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Cook, in March 2015, two sisters, Mae Dixon and Betty Seabolt and a brother, Arvel Seabolt. Mr. Seabolt was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Seabolt are the mother of his children, Violet Styles Seabolt of Blue Ridge, two sons and daughters in law, Larry and Kay Seabolt of Morganton, Lloyd and Donna Seabolt of Loganville, three daughters and sons in law, Janice and Dan Brown of Mineral Bluff, Jeannette and Gene Lawrence of Blairsville, Rachel and David George of Blairsville, and also daughter, Brooke Wells Shook of Young Harris; one sister, Martha Payne Fortenberry of Blairsville, one brother, Harley Seabolt of Gainesville, ten grandchildren, Kayla Seabolt, Keelan Seabolt, Kevin Keener, Courtney Johnson, Ashley (Shane) Johnson, Brittany Keener, Travis (Nichole) Davenport, Nathan (Dru) Davenport, Zachary Ramey, Lindsey Ramey, five great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends survive. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 4 -8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the cabin on Coopers Creek Road with Rev. Travis Davenport officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a cause of your choice in Mr. Seabolt’s memory.
