Mrs. Anne Hood Brown age 82 of Saddle Rdige Court Blairsville passed away on Sunday November 1, 2015 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Brown was born on April 24, 1933 in Franklin, Tn., the daughter of the late George Hood and the late Emily Hood. Anne loved selling at the Flea Market, She and her husband James has had a booth at Decker’s Flea Market for the past thirteen years. Anne loved meeting new people. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Cliff Hood and sisters, Betty Jo, Willie and Lucille. Anne was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mrs. Brown are her loving husband and best friend, James Brown of Blairsville, two daughters, Patricia Jones of Nashville, TN., Jennifer Brown, one son, Tommy Thompson of Blairsville, two brothers, Bobby Hood and Carl Hood both of Franklin, Tn., one grandchild, Gretchen, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Greg Huskins officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Anne’s family and friends. Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10- 2:00 pm prior to the service.
