Mr. James Conley Sr. age 76 of Carnesville, GA. formerly of Blairsville passed away on Monday April 4, 2016 in the Pruitt Health Care in Toccoa following an extended illness.

Mr. Conley was born on June 8, 1939 in Union County, the son of the late Edmund Murell Conley and the late Thelda Loudermilk Conley. He was a veteran of the US Navy. James loved fishing, reading and doing stained glass. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Glenn Conley, a daughter, Tammy Conley Kahn, two brothers, Frank and Charles Conley and a sister, Frances Conley. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Conley was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Conley are his loving wife of forty three years, Jane Hansford Conley of Carnesville, two sons and one daughter in law, James Allen Conley of Gainesville, Curtis Edmund and Amy Conley of Carnesville, eight grandchildren, Ann Beal, David Kahn, Aron Weddington, Alex Roberts, Allen Conley, Jennifer Conley, William Conley and Lily Conley, two great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Black officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the North GA. Honor Guard. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Curtis Conley, James Conley Jr., Allen Conley and Cody Delvin. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30-1:30 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
