Mr. George Henry Stearns Jr. age 76 of Liberty Hill Rd. Blairsville, GA., passed away on Thursday April 7, 2016 at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Stearns was born on September 6, 1939 in Boston, MA., the son of the late George Stearns and the late Lillian Hanson Stearns.

He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, William Stearns. Mr. Stearns was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mr. Stearns are his loving wife of eight years, Paula Decastro Stearns, twelve children, Ann Ward, Tina Zinn, Terry Corey, Tracy Paolini, Barbara Norton, Heather Stewart, Ashley Parlpyano, Ricky Stearns, Dan Stearns, John Leyman, William Stearns and Kevin Parlpyano, one brother, Bob Stearns, two sisters, Muriel and her husband Dick Doherty, Hellen and her husband, Norman Bourbeau, a loyal friend, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date from the Skyway Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Palmetto, FL., and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice in Mr. Stearns memory.
