Mr. James Albert Brown age 72 of Saddle Ridge Court Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday April 28, 2016 following an extended illness.

Mr. Brown was born on Oct. 4, 1943 in Marietta, GA. He had made his home in Blairsville for the past sixteen years, moving here from West Palm Beach, FL. James loved selling at the flea market. He had a booth at Decker’s Flea Market for the past thirteen years. He always enjoyed meeting new people and making new friendships.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hood Brown on Nov.1, 2015 and a sister, Jacqueline Bolden. James was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Brown are two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Brown of New Haven, CT., Patricia Jones of Nashville, TN., one son, Tommy Thompson of Blairsville, one grandchild, Gretchen Jones of Boling Green, KY., many other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services were held on Friday April 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Meadow View Cemetery with Minister Greg Huskins officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice in Mr. Brown’s memory.
